It's this time of year again! All us students think about is exams, summer, exams, summer!
This time last year I was taking my GCSE's. I was so nervous but excited at the same time. The thought of having to take over 10 exams but that was over taken by the thought of a very long summer! Now I'm at college! It seemed like this would never come but it has, I'm here for 2 years and then hopefully off to university!
2013 summer was amazing and I'm hoping 2014 will be even better!
I'm hoping to pass my driving test soon so I can go see people without having to ask my mum for a lift which i can't say I like doing!
However, by doing this I'm going to have to get a part-time job. Don't get me wrong I do earn money but through our family business. I now want to go somewhere else to see what new things are out there! Baring in mind I would like it to be close to home to I can use the money on other things rather than petrol etc.
Forgetting that for now, that's for the future!
Right now all I'm thinking is that I want to get my first year at college finished and over and done with! I haven't got far to go and I just hope it doesn't drag! Luckily, in my eyes, my college doesn't have May half term as we get a longer one around October or at christmas time! I find this good as we then won't slouch around at home being lazy and putting off assignments until during the week! I'd rather not leave everything until the last minute and rush it to a low standard!
My last unit is to take part of doing work experience in a sport based environment. I'm going to be doing this at my high school through the middle of June and then I'm done!
I just can't wait until summer, hopefully the best yet! (Especially going to sundown festival with my 2 best ones!)
Good luck to all taking exams! 🙏

Tips on taking you driving theory test and my experience! 🚗
Recently I took my driving theory test and luckerly passed...second time round! :P
However, the first time I did it I didn't revise as much as I should have done, this was a mistake as I obviously didn't pass but it was only by 2 on the questions! I was so gutted!
1. Make sure you book your test way before you are able to do your practical test! I started learning at the end of October start of November and didn't book my first theory test until about March! When I failed I was gutted and had to wait another 3 weeks until I could retry. My instructor said I could have booked my practical already but I hadn't passed my theory so was unable to, this urged me on to revise so much more than I did!
2. Not revising a lot was a big mistake for first time round. Failing the first time round got into my head that I know I didn't revise more and I totally regretted it! Make sure you do a little bit everyday for your upcoming test! I learnt so much more and stuff came up on my scond test hat I wouldn't have known first time round but did the second as I revised a lot more!
3. Don't just use apps on the apple App Store, this are mostly only mock tests and don't contain all the information you need to know. This was my mistake first time round! Use actual books, they may cost a fair bit but they defiantly do the job!
4. Some Highway Code books can cost a bomb so ask friends or family who have passed their theory if you can borrow them, this will save you a load of money and educate you at the same time!

Here is the book I used, passed down from both my older brothers!
5. Try and stay calm, you will be nervous but don't panic, talk things slow and you'll be fine. I spoke to a girl before we went in and it was her first time, she was so nervous, it's fine once you get in there, just the build up to you going in is nerve racking!
Once you finish the test the suspense to getting you belongings from the locker to walking to the desk to have the piece of paper passed over to you is crazy! I always waited until I was out the room to open up the letter. As soon as I saw the words congratulations I let out a little scream! I was over the moon, never have to do it again!
As soon as I got out the building I tried ringing people and the first person to answer was my brother so he was the first to find out...he should feel privileged :P.
I went shopping with my mum to celebrate as she met me in norwich to pick me up!

The wedding dress exhibition
Today I went to the wedding dress exhibition down my local church (Smallburgh, St Peters Church). The dresses were beautiful, they were from lots of different times periods and were all so unique! These days all the brides are wearing strapless boob tube type dresses, but I think dresses with lace sleeves and a small collar are gorgeous! e.g. Kate Middeltons dress from when she married Prince William!
My mum wore a dress with long lace sleeves with puffy shoulders and a long simple dress and still looked wonderful!
Here are a few pictures I took!
Here are a some accessories that the brides wore!
Most of these dresses had been worn by two people the mother and the mothers daughter! I think that is great as the dress gets to be worn more than once and the daughter doesn't have to invest in one for herself!
What did you get up to this bank holiday?

This is how simple wedding shoes used to be! Now they can be like 6 inch heels!! |
