'What's DECHOXING?' you may be asking...
Starting from tomorrow (Tuesday 1st March) I and hundreds of others around the UK will be DECHOXING for the entire month of March for The British Heart Foundation.
For those of you who don't know what this is, it's about not eating any form of chocolate for a whole month. This is to raise money for the cause for people with chronic heart disease.
Not eating chocolate for a whole month is going to be hard. Mainly because Easter is at the end of the month, oh no. However, I feel very strongly about this foundation as my Dad passed away 5 years ago from a major heart attack, so that will edge me on to complete it.
The point of this is to raise as much money as possible. So I have a Just Giving page where you can sponsor me/donate to the British Heart Foundation. Link below:
https://www.justgiving.com/dechox2016christyparker
Any donations will be extremely appreciated by both me and the foundation!

Feeling Cremesheen...
Guess who went to MAC for the first time and purchased their first ever product... I did!
My friend had a voucher and very kindly shared it with me, appreciative would be an understatement.
I ended up paying a minuscule amount for this £15.50 lipstick. Very happy.
I knew I wanted a lipstick but if you've ever been into the store and seen the lipstick stand, oh my. This was such a hard decision, my hand was covered in different shades. Reds, pinks and purples. However, I knew that I wanted a dark colour as I have a lot of nude colours from other brands.
After a decision from the purples I came out with the 'Hang-Up' shade from the Cremesheen collection. I love it.
I think the most I've ever payed for a lipstick is about £7.00. Being a student you can't exactly keep splashing out on high end make-up, but once in a while doesn't hurt!
This is what the lipstick looks like on, not too dark for my pale skin, just the right amount.
I've always been a little weary on buying dark shades of lipstick, mainly because it's quite a daring colour. Especially going out for a meal and ending up with a dark ring around your lips, not very flattering. Although, going on a night out and drinking from a straw is a yes from me. So here come the dark lipsticks!
Saying that it won't be a daily product because spending that much on a lipstick won't be happening regularly, however much i'd want to!
What's your favourite MAC lipstick or product? Leave a comment and let me know!

How I'm getting on at University
How am I getting on at University?
That seems to be the question I get asked whenever I go back to Norfolk or see familiar faces that I haven't seen for a while.
To tell you the truth I haven't actually really, deeply thought about it. So that's what I've been doing.
I'm in my second semester of my 1st year at University. To say that it's going quick would be an understatement. How are we in February already? How am I on my 2nd semester already?
They don't lie when they say it will fly by.
However, they also don't lie when they say you will have the time of your life throughout your uni years. I am having the best time. So much has changed for the better. I've met so many lovely people who i'm sure I will be friends with in years to come.
I'm a student in my first year. So yes I do go out to the club every week, getting home in the early hours of the morning with a lecture the next day. Yet I somehow get myself up and make it to that lecture, featuring recent events.
You see these pictures of me and my friends in the nightclubs but that's not all I do.
I'm in at university 3 days a week. It doesn't seem like a lot but the work load adds up. For one of my modules this semester I have an exam in May/June instead of assignments. This means intense revision. Once that lecture has been, its gone. The rest is up to me to remember.
Work Hard but play harder, right?
I've recently been given back some assignments and i'm happy to say i'm very pleased with the results. A couple I got better than I ever expected and a couple I knew would come out how they did. Not to worry though, I'm still in my first year, I have a long way to go yet. Many more people to meet and many more experiences are to come my way.

On wards with even more partying but also being that step closer to my dream career!

Why I blog...
I get asked a lot why I blog and what I write about, sometimes I can tell people think it's slightly odd or even weird. The thing is though thousands of people blog all around the world about many different things such as travel, food and fashion, beauty and lifestyle which is what I write about.
I write about reviews on a beauty product I've recently bought, a look book which I've recently done for winter but pretty much anything I feel like writing about.
While I was in high school I didn't have a hobby. I just didn't do anything regularly out of school hours, like being in a sports team or anything to do with being in a team, except from the one off dogdgeball or football match. My school wasn't great for making sports teams. I started watching Youtube videos about tutorials and hauls and all that, then once one of my subscriptions mentioned they had a blog, so being interested I had a look. This was way back in about year 10 at high school when I fell in love with blogging. I was writing about my day, a trip I went on and it has gradually turned into a fashion beauty and lifestyle blog. I've only recently started being consistent with it.

For people that know me, yes I am extremely interested in sport, hence why I'm studying sport and exercise science at university. However, that doesn't define who I am. Yes some days I wear sports clothes like jogging trousers and trainers and a t-shirt but sometimes I actually like to look nice.
Whenever I make an effort with the way I look just on a normal day to day basis people ask, 'are you going out?' or 'you look nice, whats the occasion?'. This sometimes gets on my nerves. Other people dress nice everyday and don't get questioned on it, so why should I?
'Just felt like looking nice for once' is my typical response.
I really don't like the fact people get defined on what they are studying or what area of work they are in. That may be their main interest in life yes but that's not all.
So to sum up why I blog;
I'm Christy, I study sport and have a blog about fashion, beauty and lifestyle because it's something I love to do
Over and out

Lush, a heavenly store
Lush, the heavenly place full of magnificent scents to suit everyone. The place where you feel guilty for buying more than you came in for but deep down you know it's totally worth it.
Before I came back to University I took a trip to my nearest Lush store to pick up a few bits.
I've always gone for the bath bombs instead of the bubble bar so I decided it was time for a change... bubble bar it was. I went for the good old 'Comforter', I mean the name just draws you in itself, let alone the smell of love heart sweets which is absolutely divine!
My last night at home came so I used the other half of the bar. The reason I say other half is because I feel you only need to use half of this each time and still get a mountain of bubbly joy, save the other half for another pamper session.
On wards. To get the best bubbles you need to crumble the bar under warm running water so it can mix it all up easier!
Like most Lush bath products you end up getting a brightly coloured bath, my ended up being PINK!
As I stepped into my newly drawn pink bath I could instantly smell the sweet scent.
I was very impressed with the amount of bubbles!
To say I'm going to miss a bubbly bath would be an understatement.
I also picked up a product that a friend recommended to me, the lip scrub. I suffer from dry lips anyway but this time of year it gets a lot worse, sad times.
There was about 3 or 4 different flavours of gorgeous smelling scrubs. I went for the refreshing 'Mint Julips' and wow. This smells just like the mint chocolate chip ice cream you get on a hot summers day. It's made from caster sugar to you can lick it straight off to then moisturise with your favourite lip balm.
No one wants smelly feet right? So I picked up the 'T For Toes' foot powder. Not only does it stop your feet from being stinky, it contains tea tree and lime oil which gives it a fresh smell. Also having antibacterial oils!
Seeing as I no longer have a bath back at my uni accommodation, I feel this gives me the excuse to try some of there shower products.
Let me know if you'd like to see a post on them!
Thanks for reading,
